Based in Liverpool at the Invisible Wind Factory, the Kazimier create interdisciplinary work from intimate installations to mass audience spectacles. We explore how sense and perception can be manipulated, wrapping creative technology within deeper mystery. The Kazimier produce world-class commissions for international clients including festivals, public institutions and global brands as well as devising in-house productions.Over time, the work has evolved and now encompasses a wider variety of innovative elements; immersive audio, interactive games, lighting design, etc. which has allowed Kazimier to deliver more complex concepts using in-house expertise; producing projects with broader scope and clientele, in a greater range of environments. Our core team includes artists, producers, engineers, and specialist makers with all the work prototyped, fabricated and delivered right here in Liverpool.
BIO
Michael Lill
Co-founder of the Kazimier, Invisible Wind Factory and Studio Tonto, Mike has spent most of his career to date, working collaboratively in small creative teams. Largely self taught, his skills have become pretty broad ranging from graphic design, set design, construction design as well as fabrication. Architecture, design, pattern, mythology and zen are some of his biggest passions and his work is often informed by these.
Mike loves creating physical immersive environments for audiences to explore. His favourite stage is the conceptual and ideas phase of a project, imagining whole worlds and narratives, developing and communicating them using three dimensional renders and scale models.
He has pretty much always worked in collaboration with people who specialize in creative technology, lighting, sound, music and performance. Although none of these disciplines are his speciality, they are integral to the environments he designs.
